This is my first big respawn.
The first two weeks went all right, so far as big lifestyle chances go. I gained a few levels, worked on my goals, and read a lot. The following few weeks I bombed. Only 20% of my original goals have become long-term changes. I think I went wrong by reading too much all at once. Prior to my epic fail, I was reading very slowly and working at a snails pace. Then for a few days, I ready ALL THE THINGS in the first few modules. I think I ended up feeling like I couldn't keep up and just gave up.
Solution:
- Take is slower. Achieving something slowly is better than never achieving something because I quit.
- Tell husband about what I'm doing. I've been too embarrassed to talk to him about it and worried he won't support me, but that makes it difficult to follow through when he is home.
- Remember: MOMENTUM not motivation. Motivation abandons me at the most inopportune time, but gods help me when my routine is changed. The Big Why is important, but at the end of the day it just isn't strong enough when I am exhausted or don't feel well--and that is fine. Stop telling myself that I need to care more, because realistically, I need more time, money, and better health, and that's not coming, so momentum will have to do.
Next meta goals towards making this the best $79 ever:
- I will adhere to 60% of my original goals for at least 1 month.
- Respawn is only if I miss two in a row.
- I will keep a food log for a month in gmail.
- I will try the bodyweight workout for the next month.
Hopefully updates to follow.
